Enhancement
The first Nen we have is Enhancement. It allows the user to increase the ability of an object of their body. This Nen is best suited for melee combat as it increases users’ physical strength and defense. Some notable Enhancers are Gon Freecss and Isaac Netero.
Transmutation
Transmutation gives the user the ability to mimic something else or replicate specific attributes. That includes natural elements, man-made things, and animals. Some of the most famous Transmuters are Hisoka Morow and Killua Zoldyck.
Emission
Emission gives its user the ability to separate aura from their body. It is best used in combination with long-range abilities or abilities that have long-lasting effects. Some of the most popular Emitters are Leorio Paradinight and Pokkle.
Conjuration
Conjuration allows its users to create physical and material objects out of their aura. Moreover, they can create laws and principles for specific areas. Users with this Nen have to undergo significant visualization training before mastering it. The most popular Conjurers are Kurapika and Kortopi.
Specialization
Specialization Nen is a tad different from the others. It contains all abilities that do not belong in any other category. Moreover, abilities that belong to this group have more steps and conditions than other abilities. Lastly, there is no certain way for its users to develop their abilities.
Manipulation
Users whose Nen is manipulated have the ability to control living or non-living things. On top of that, they can construct auras. For instance, they are able to manipulate their enemies in combat. Some notable Manipulators are Illumi and Kalluto Zoldyck.
